While he joined the manufactured housing industry in 2018, Jayson’s career in real estate operations and acquisitions spans over two decades. At Compass, he’s built a team with shared values and a common mission: overcoming the housing crisis. He is committed to creating sustainable and affordable solutions for Canadians, ensuring that every decision the company makes benefits both residents and the business. At the end of the day, what drives Jayson and the team at Compass most is helping people turn houses into homes. Outside of work, Jayson enjoys rock climbing, cycling, skiing with his family, and reliving the glory days of playing college football.  

Carmen Perez is a veteran of the manufactured housing industry, having spent the last fifteen years managing and innovating over 12,000 sites across Canada. Since starting at Compass, he’s implemented a best-in-class platform designed to better serve the needs of our communities. Carmen believes that everyone should have a sense of pride in homeownership. With this in mind, his goal is to continue enhancing amenities, infrastructure and services for our residents and guests. In his free time, Carmen likes to be outside as much as possible. On any given day, you can find him cycling, golfing, or skiing.

As Head of Technology at Compass, Jayashri is dedicated to enhancing the resident experience by streamlining processes and improving communication. Although she is new to the manufactured housing industry, her extensive background spans manufacturing, private equity, and both commercial and residential real estate. Jayashri specializes in IT infrastructure, business process optimization, data analytics, and technology integration, leveraging these skills to create solutions that better serve Compass communities. Passionate about technology, she loves discussing its potential to transform the way we manage everyday tasks. Outside of work, Jayashri enjoys swimming, hiking, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from ticking off items on her to-do list. 

With 17 years of experience in property accounting, Jerry has gone from mentee to mentor in the industry, building his knowledge of the commercial, multi-residential and manufactured housing (MHC) sectors at every step along the way. He’s heavily involved in the satisfaction of both our residents and our stakeholders, splitting his day-to-day between leading our accounting professionals and helping our operations team improve our communities. Equally as adept in the kitchen as he is in the office, Jerry once ran his own restaurant that was awarded the best pulled pork sandwiches in the city by a community newspaper. In addition to his love of cooking Jerry also enjoys talking about football, especially the Buffalo Bills.

Melissa has 15 years of experience in the manufactured housing industry, specializing in operations leadership, process optimization and acquisitions. At Compass, Melissa injects her passion for fostering communities where families can thrive in everything she does. She’s been a key part of implementing first-class property management systems, focusing on policies that create value for investors while improving resident experience. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys hiking and spending time with her family and dogs. But whether you find her in the office, at home, or in the mountains, there is one thing to be certain of: you’ll always find her with a smile on her face.

As the Head of People, Culture, and Corporate Administration, Sommer is dedicated to cultivating a high-performance workforce that propels Compass’ growth and success. Her strategy is threefold: attracting and retaining exceptional team members, fostering productivity and innovation, and nurturing a culture that drives key business outcomes. Through it all, she never loses sight of how People & Culture initiatives directly can enhance the experience of Compass residents, providing our workforce with the tools necessary to build and sustain vibrant communities. In her downtime, you can find her reading and traveling. She’s also a big fan of Europe: she has a French bulldog, an Italian greyhound, and holds an Irish passport.
